For many of us our "career" as music fans began with this band: the Red Hot Chili Peppers. With their crossover alternative rock sound they formed the genre like no other band did. What many of you may not know, was that the incredible career of the Red Hot Chili Peppers actually started as a joke. Back in February of 1983 friends Anthony Kiedis and Michael "Flea" Balzary formed the band & actually only intended to play a single gig. The audience however loved their mix between Rap, Rock, Funk and Punk, so the band were instantly booked for another show - Thus the beginning of the famous Red Hot Chili Peppers.
