Anyone who enjoys modern metalcore with big singalongs has either already heard of Polaris or should definitely check out the music of the Australian band. With powerful riffs, emotional hooks, and technical precision, the group has built a strong fanbase over the past few years.
The official band merch combines exactly the same elements that shape their music. Catchy artwork meets contemporary streetwear aesthetics. Instead of focusing purely on logos, many designs highlight atmospheric motifs or references to specific albums. The designs feel modern without being generic, just like the band’s sound.
Visually, Polaris merchandise reflects the moods of the band’s songs. Dark color palettes meet carefully placed accents and typography that ranges from clean and minimal to more playful styles. Some designs feature detailed back prints, while others rely on subtle front logos, creating a diverse selection that fits different styles.
Available items include Polaris T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, longsleeves, and selected accessories. The pieces stand out at metal concerts but work just as well in everyday outfits. The mix of emotional visual language and modern cuts makes the merch easy to wear anywhere.
Many motifs are inspired by different album eras and incorporate visual elements from well-known releases such as Fatalism. Hooks from songs like “Masochist”, “Harbinger”, or “Nightmare” are also referenced and placed on the clothing in modern designs. This creates a strong connection between the music and the merch, giving fans a direct link to the band’s history.
To achieve a modern look, some designs also include detailed elements such as floral motifs, which are frequently found in metal merch. These more romantic design elements perfectly complement the melodic parts of Polaris’ music and show that the band can be not only heavy but also emotional.
The roots of Polaris go back to the school days of the band members. The group was founded in 2012 in Sydney after drummer Daniel Furnari and guitarist Jake Steinhauser met at a Battle Of The Bands event at their high school. Beyond the borders of their home country Australia, Polaris quickly established themselves within the international metalcore scene.
With their first album The Mortal Coil (2017), the band achieved their breakthrough. Songs such as “The Remedy” or “Lucid” combined catchy melodies with powerful breakdowns and made it clear where the band was headed. To this day, these tracks remain true fan favorites and are part of almost every setlist at concerts and festival performances.
With The Death Of Me (2020), Polaris significantly evolved in terms of production and sound. The album revealed a darker, more emotionally intense side and strengthened the band’s reputation as one of the strongest metalcore acts of the 2020s.
In 2023, guitarist Ryan Siew passed away only a few months before the planned release date of the new album Fatalism. After discussions with the family of their former bandmate, the band decided to release the record as originally planned in memory of Siew. It contains the final recordings of the musician, who passed away at the age of just 26.
Because of the circumstances, Fatalism remains Polaris’ most emotionally profound album to date. In Australia, the record reached number one in the mainstream charts, while the two previous albums also consistently landed in the top 10 with number three (The Death Of Me) and number six (The Mortal Coil).
Polaris represent a modern interpretation of the genre: technically skilled, emotionally open, and full of energy, especially on stage. International tours with Slipknot, I Prevail, or Electric Callboy have helped the band win over fans from other music scenes as well. In addition, the Australians have impressed audiences at some of the world’s biggest music festivals.
Polaris merch gives you the opportunity to balance your look between modern metalcore and everyday streetwear. Whether you prefer a large album design or a minimalist logo, you decide how bold your statement should be.
The T-shirts are made from pleasantly soft fabrics and offer great comfort, making them ideal for long concert nights or everyday wear. The prints are highly detailed and maintain their intensity even after multiple washes. No matter how much energy you put into a show, the colors will remain strong.
Hoodies and sweatshirts have a comfortable fit and provide plenty of freedom of movement. Most items are cut in a unisex fit. T-shirts run true to size, while hoodies tend to have a more relaxed fit. If you prefer an oversized look, you can easily choose one size up. Longsleeves are particularly suitable for transitional seasons or as part of a modern layering outfit.
