Metallica plus Turnstile on a live lineup? We certainly wouldn't mind, but Turnstile actually declined an offer from Metallica's camp. As James Hetfield shared on Metallica's SiriusXM radio show:
“We wanted to get them on tour, and they said, ‘No. They’re doing good on their own already.'”
Still, both bands seem to be on great terms. In fact, James Hetfield had nothing but praise for Turnstile:
“What a vibe they bring. Go see them play if you can. They sound great on their records and recordings, but if you see them live you totally get it. We’ve hung out with them a bit. Super cool guys, super fun. They’ve got a gal in the band now, which is fun.”
Metallica are currently in the middle of playing their highly anticipated shows at the Las Vegas Sphere. Meanwhile, late this past summer, Turnstile dropped a brand-new take on their latest studio album: NEVER ENOUGH: VERSIONS breathes new life into their hardcore anthems reimagined by numerous guest artists across a variety of musical styles.
