Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch had only recently stated in an interview with Loudwire that a new album is not the band’s main focus right now:
"We're focusing right now on our live show ... It feels like we don't even need a new album. Everything's just going so well, but that's not to say we're not going to find some time to go in again. I feel like it's not priority right now."
However, several sources are now pointing toward ongoing work on new material. Among them is a post straight from the studio of engineer Chris Lord‑Alge (Green Day, Slipknot), which features Korn guitarist Munky. The caption also mentions Nick Raskulinecz, who, like Lord-Alge, is a producer known for high-profile rock and metal acts such as Deftones and Foo Fighters:
"What a blast with Nick and Munkey mixing Korn!! Heavy badass rock !!!"
This suggests that Korn may have already completed recording for a specific project — so even if a full album isn’t currently in the works, new material seems to be on the way. Or perhaps the band is deliberately keeping plans under wraps to reveal a new release at a later date.
A new album would mark the fifteenth studio record of Korn’s career and would follow their latest full-length release, Requiem.
