The lineup for our Impericon Festival 2026 is getting even bigger: Today we’re excited to announce two new additions for this years festival's Saturday.
I Killed The Prom Queen and Cabal are joining the lineup, bringing plenty of energy, nostalgia, and — in the case of I Killed The Prom Queen — the full force of another comeback, both in celebration of their band anniversary and their return to us at Impericon. We really can’t wait to see both bands on stage this summer and all of you out there in huge numbers in front of it!
Save the date: June 26–27, 2026, Leipziger Messe HALLE:EINS
25 Years of I Killed The Prom Queen
After a turbulent band history, I Killed The Prom Queen stand like hardly any other band for always holding on to their roots. After their breakup in 2008 and the reunion in 2011, several lineup changes, inactive years, and founding member Jona Weinhofen ultimately returning to I Killed The Prom Queen after several years with Bring Me The Horizon, the band continues to stay true to the core of their work and still stands united on stage.
Last year, the metalcore band founded in 2000 celebrated their 25th anniversary with a tour across Australia. And we’re more than happy to welcome them back to us at the Impericon Festival 2026, looking back on their first European tour as part of the Impericon Never Say Die! Tour 2013.
This will be an unforgettable comeback, so be there and celebrate this remarkable band anniversary with us again this year!
Cabal: Deathcore since 2016
Cabal also have a milestone to celebrate. For ten years now, the Danish band has been delivering deathcore releases, from their debut EP Purge and the subsequent first album Mark Of Rot to their current work Everything Rots, which hasn’t even been out for a year yet. Most recently, at the end of January, a Cabal feature appeared on the new bleak. song “Burned Out”.
Any fan of modern, heavy deathcore who may have overlooked the steadily growing band so far should definitely not miss their performance!
