Ghost

They have over 1.3 million Facebook likes and yet nobody knew their faces until 2018: GHOST (from 2013 to 2015 for legal reasons Ghost B.C). The members of the rock heavy metal band from Linköping in Sweden hide behind eccentric skull masks, which can be seen in our shop on their Ghost Merch. They’re known to the public under their pseudonyms: The frontman as "Papa Emeritus" (a kind of anti-pope) or, more recently, "Cardinal Copia", the musicians around him are deemed as just "Nameless Ghouls".

In 2006, Ghost put their love for horror films and the typical Scandinavian metal sound into their first studio album OPUS EPONYMOUS (2010). Since then, not only have the band gone on to win a Grammy for ‘Best Metal Performance’ for their track ‘Cirice’ in 2016, they’ve also performed worldwide with bands like Trivium , In Flames and Mastodon.

By 2018, "Papa Emeritus III" was on stage - By the way, he and his predecessors "I" and "II" are supposed to be one and the same person. The Uriah Heep fan and former Ghost boss Tobias Forge showed up a few months earlier and stated in an interview that he did not see Ghost as a band, but as a project with changing musicians and him as a creative mastermind. On the current album PREQUELLE (2018) Cardinal Copia takes over the vocals for the first time. Some names have been made public on the internet by former band member Simon Söderberg. His list includes: Simon Söderberg (guitar, "Alpha", member since 2010), Mauro Rubino (keyboards, "Air", member since 2011), Henrik Palm (guitar, "Ether", member since 2015) and Martin Hjertstedt ( Drums, "Earth", member since 2014).

Their work has been described more like a movie rather than an album release. Their music (including their artwork and videos) of which are anti-Christian. This is without a doubt a band that’ll captivate for years to come.
