Few bands have experienced such a development in recent years as Bring Me The Horizon: from the core pearl to a mass phenomenon that inspires fans worldwide.

It all started in 2004 when the boys - just between 15 and 17 years old - formed Bring Me The Horizon (often abbreviated to BMTH) in Sheffield, England. Especially with their debut COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS (2006) they catapult themselves directly into the hearts of thousands of deathcore fans.

The musical upheaval of BMTH

Even if they turned their backs on their original sound including Death Metal elements on the following albums like SUICIDE SEASON (2008) and SEMPITERNAL (2013): The hype surrounding the band grew and grew, but still hadn't reached its peak. With the album THAT'S THE SPIRIT (2015), which of course was not entirely uncontroversial among "old school fans", they proved that heavier music and chart success are not necessarily mutually exclusive, because the album with the umbrella cover conquered the charts worldwide. Bands such as Asking Alexandria, The Ghost Inside and While She Sleeps specifically cited SUICIDE SEASON as a major influence on their work.

With the release of AMO, the Brits prove once again that they are no longer "just" a band, but cult figures who shape an entire scene with their style and music now. Their latest release, POST HUMAN: SURVIVAL HORROR, is set to be part of a 4-part EP series, the first part of it was released in 2020.

Bring Me The Horizon are more adventurous than ever

The musical style of BMTH has changed steadily over the years. Unfortunately, we haven't heard a long player since the last EP, but the band has always surprised us with new singles and exciting duos. These songs show the new influences from alternative rock, electro pop and pop punk: with "DiE4u" the band delivered a hit that went around the world. The band presented the song “sTraNgeRs” for the first time as a remix at their Malta Weekender Festival.

We also hear the voice of frontman Oli Sykes combined with singer Sigrid in the ballad "Bad Life", or in Machine Gun Kelly's pop punk hit "maybe". Hardly any other band has shown itself to be so changeable and experimental in the last few years - this is also reflected in the BMTH merch!
