Usually, we don’t focus on the Album of the Year until the end of the year. But this year, we’ve already heard so many great records by mid-year that we need to take stock early. That’s why we also asked you on Instagram which albums you’ve found strongest so far in 2025. We couldn’t agree more with your picks and have gathered the titles of eleven contenders here. And this is just a fraction of the releases that have reached us this year!

Sleep Token – Even In Arcadia

The long-awaited fourth studio album from Sleep Token has received massive attention following the immense success of Take Me Back To Eden. No surprise that Even In Arcadia shot straight to number 1 in the charts!

Heimat is already the tenth studio album from Heaven Shall Burn! Supported by Britta Görtz at the record release shows, this release became something very special, despite vocalist Marcus Bischoff's infection at the time.
