Pop singer Dua Lipa is currently touring North America on her Radical Optimism Tour and includes a surprise song for her fans in the setlist every night. In San Francisco, the track turned out to be the Green Day hit “Wake Me Up When September Ends.” Dua Lipa was not alone at the mic, however, as she was accompanied by Billie Joe Armstrong himself.

The singer introduced her special guest with these words:

“I love this band for so many different reasons. I love it because of their rawness, their authenticity, the message behind it, the space that it holds for people who sometimes feel like they might not belong. I love listening to this album [American Idiot] in particular – when I was little I’d put the CD in the Walkman.

And tonight, we’re extremely lucky, San Francisco, because I have a little help from friend who’s here tonight and is going to join me to sing this next song. So please, San Francisco, join me in welcoming the incredible Billie Joe from Green Day!”
