The Carhartt WIP brand was founded in 1994 by Edwin Faeh. The brand developed its own collections based on the original Carhartt workwear. However, Carhartt WIP presents itself in a new context and at the same time produces its own classics. Since the late 1980s, the brand has inspired a wide variety of subcultures, in which Carhartt workwear originals are repeatedly taken up and made their own - and this is still the case today!
Work in Progress modified Carhartt's core product features for a different audience of consumers who appreciate refined design and quality while staying true to the origins of the Carhartt brand. Since the beginning, Carhartt WIP has built a strong relationship with unknown, inspiring, provocative and up-and-coming personalities in music and sports, becoming an iconic and respected brand in underground scenes, from hip-hop to skateboarding, from graffiti to cycling.
