We continue our Metal Horoscope for May and June: These musicians were born under the Gemini zodiac sign.

May and June are wonderful months. Not only do they (hopefully) bring perfect spring weather, they also mark the official start of the summer festival season. It’s even better when you happen to have your birthday then — and are a Gemini. Some musicians from rock, metal, and beyond also celebrate their birthdays between May 21 and June 21, whether on or off the festival stage. Who might they be?

Will Ramos (Lorna Shore)

Birthday: May 31, 1994

What kind of birthday serenade is Will Ramos expecting? Hopefully nothing that comes anywhere close to what he delivers vocally. The Lorna Shore vocalist celebrates his birthday on May 31 and is likely throwing a massive party with his bandmates and friends — pig squeal challenge included. But honestly, he’s operating on a completely different level anyway.

Nico Sallach (Electric Callboy)

Birthday: May 31, 1990

Pump it, Nico — the Tekkno Train is rolling in and getting everyone hypa… hyped… yeah, let’s just leave it at that. The Electric Callboy vocalist also celebrates his birthday on May 31, and we have a feeling his parties are especially loud and chaotic. Probably something involving a pool, an inflatable unicorn, and endless “fun drinks.” Have a blast!

Brian "Head" Welch (Korn)

Birthday: June 19, 1970

Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch is also a Gemini and celebrates his birthday on June 19. The nu metal veteran is often on international festival stages during the summer, meaning he usually celebrates on the road. Whether in the tour bus or on stage — there will definitely be some loud singing.

James "Munky" Shaffer (Korn)

Birthday: June 6, 1970

And of course, his bandmate James “Munky” Shaffer shares the same zodiac sign and celebrates his birthday just 13 days before “Head.” If that’s not a reason to party, we don’t know what is. Drinks and snacks can definitely be stocked up early for this one.

Chino Moreno (Deftones)

Birthday: June 20, 1973

Since we’re already talking about influential ‘90s bands, we also wish Chino Moreno a happy birthday. The Deftones frontman celebrates on June 20 and is likely spending many of his birthdays on festival grounds. The good thing: his bandmates are always right there with him.

Zac Farro (Paramore)

Birthday: June 4, 1990

Our best wishes also go out to Zac Farro, drummer of Paramore. The founding member of the alternative band took a break from active duty for a while, but we’re sure he still invites his bandmates to the party for a proper birthday serenade.

Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden)

Birthday: June 5, 1952

Michael Henry “Nicko” McBrain gets to blow out another candle in early June — though he might need to take a deep breath first, considering how many there are. The Iron Maiden drummer retired from live touring in 2024, but we still wish him all the best!

Tom Araya (Slayer)

Birthday: June 6, 1961

On June 6, there will probably be no bass strings being plucked at the Araya household — it’s all about celebrating. The Slayer bassist is also a Gemini and will most likely mark the occasion with a massive party.

Kerry King (Slayer)

Birthday: June 3, 1964

And he can definitely invite his bandmate Kerry King, who celebrates just three days earlier. The guitarist offers the perfect counterpart — at least hairstyle-wise — to Araya’s legendary mane. Guests can either run their hands through Araya’s hair or pat Kerry King’s bald head. Or just eat cake.

Tom Morello (Rage Against The Machine)

Birthday: May 30, 1964

Almost the same age as Kerry King is Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello. He celebrates his birthday at the end of May and is likely surrounded by a wide range of musician friends, given his many recent collaborations and features.

Josh Dun (Twenty One Pilots)

Birthday: June 18, 1988

Twenty One Pilots drummer Josh Dun is also a Gemini and celebrates his birthday in mid-June. He’ll probably invite the other 50% of the band — Tyler Joseph — along with plenty of friends from the scene.

Jack Barakat (All Time Low)

Birthday: June 18, 1988

“Dear Jack, count me in” is probably the standard reply to any invitation from All Time Low guitarist Jack Barakat. He’s likely throwing a big backyard party every year — unless he’s on tour. Either way, it’s bound to be a proper pop-punk celebration.

Pete Wentz (Fall Out Boy)

Birthday: June 5, 1979

Pete Wentz was the ultimate emo heartthrob of the early 2000s — and maybe still is for many. He celebrates his birthday on June 5 and could easily throw a double-duty party like his Slayer and Korn counterparts.

Andy Hurley (Fall Out Boy)

Birthday: May 31, 1980

And his bandmate Andy Hurley is also a Gemini, celebrating just five days before Pete Wentz. With Fall Out Boy’s extensive discography, there’s definitely enough material for a long night of partying.

Ronnie Wood (The Rolling Stones)

Birthday: June 1, 1947

The Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood will probably leave his instrument aside on June 1 — unless he’s playing a show, of course. He’ll have more important things to do: celebrating his birthday.

Brandon Flowers (The Killers)

Birthday: June 21, 1981

On June 21, The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers is definitely Mr. Brightside. He’s just barely a Gemini, but that’s reason enough for a big celebration.

Noel Gallagher (Oasis)

Birthday: May 29, 1967

Noel is back writing songs for Liam again (thanks, Kraftklub!), so he’ll probably invite his brother too. The Oasis founder celebrates his birthday on May 29. Will “Wonderwall” be the final song of the night?

Doro Pesch

Birthday: June 3, 1964

Happy birthday to the Queen of Metal! Doro Pesch will surely sing herself a birthday song in early June. And if not, plenty of friends and colleagues will gladly do it for her.

Cristina Scabbia (Lacuna Coil)

Birthday: June 6, 1972

Another major metal voice born in early June is Lacuna Coil singer Cristina Scabbia. Maybe she’ll be serving authentic Italian food at her party — pasta and pizza never hurt anyone.

Matt Bellamy (Muse)

Birthday: June 9, 1978

Another Gemini is Matt Bellamy from Muse. The frontman is often on festival stages during the summer, meaning he’s probably already thrown a few legendary parties by then.

Ernie C. (Body Count)

Birthday: June 10, 1959

Ernie C. is one of the three remaining founding members of Body Count. Together with his bandmates, he’s likely throwing parties that last for days — we wouldn’t mind being invited.

Nergal (Behemoth)

Birthday: June 10, 1977

Behemoth mastermind Nergal is probably hosting a themed birthday party where every guest has to show up in disguise — maybe even as other Behemoth members. A room full of mini Nergals.

Rivers Cuomo (Weezer)

Birthday: June 13, 1971

Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo is probably throwing a huge gathering with friends and collaborators from over the years. Good thing his birthday is in summer — otherwise the house might not survive it.

Paul McCartney (The Beatles)

Birthday: June 18, 1942

One of the true greats is also a Gemini: Sir Paul McCartney, founding member of The Beatles. Whether members of royalty show up is unclear — but plenty of friends and music legends definitely will. Happy birthday!
