Time is flying: In less than two weeks, Download Festival will take place at Donington Park once again! We're answering the most important questions about travel, tickets, the festival grounds, and where to find the best merch in our guide below.
When and where does Download Festival 2026 take place?
As it does every year, Download Festival takes place at the Donington Park motorsport circuit in Castle Donington. This year, from June 10–14, you can make the asphalt glow completely without any tires.
The campsite opens its gates on Wednesday, June 10 at 12:00 PM for all lucky holders of a 5-Night Camping Ticket. The main arena opens on Friday, June 12 at 12:00 PM.
Lineup and Timetable
This year's lineup is bursting with top-tier rock and metal acts, starting with the renowned headliners Limp Bizkit, Guns N’ Roses, and Linkin Park—followed by highlights such as Bad Omens, Electric Callboy, Babymetal, and Ice Nine Kills.
Tip: You can find the current timetable with all the exact stage time information in the official Download Festival app. It's best to download it in advance!
Festival & Camping Tickets plus Upgrades
Anyone who doesn't have a ticket yet needs to brace themselves: the camping tickets, the weekend arena ticket, as well as the day tickets for Friday and Sunday are completely sold out! Day tickets are currently only available for Saturday. If you still want to join spontaneously, secure your ticket quickly on the official ticket page.
Important for admission: Everything is digital!
- All tickets for Download 2026 are purely digital.
- Battery check: The QR code on your smartphone must be scanned at the entrance. So make absolutely sure that your phone is fully charged.

When driving there, make sure to pay close attention to your Car Park Pass: this shows you exactly which gate you need to head for and which signs to follow just before the festival grounds. Important: You must purchase your Car Park Pass in addition to your festival ticket!
Traveling by public transport & shuttle buses:
Regular festival shuttle buses run directly to the grounds from East Midlands Parkway station. The drop-off point is at the central transport hub at the East Entrance.
Admission, Organization and Festival Map

- Campsite opening: Wednesday, June 10 from 12:00 PM (for 5-night campers)

There is also an internal shuttle bus service that shuttles between the designated stops on the grounds. Seating and free water are available for you at the stops.
Food and Shopping Options
No one will go hungry or thirsty at Download, that's a guarantee. From the Welder’s Yard street food area and the food stage in District X to the rustic Beer Hall and stylish cocktail bars, there is something for every taste. Those who prefer non-alcoholic options will find what they're looking for at Bar Zero.
Additionally, there are numerous water points across the entire grounds where you can refill your own reusable water bottle free of charge.
Payment and Cashless
Download Festival is a completely cashless event. You can conveniently pay everywhere with a debit or credit card. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported across the entire grounds.
