Veganism doesn’t stop at your plate – and when it comes to style, we’re not about to make compromises either. The perfect brand for vegan streetwear? That’s RAGWEAR. But it wasn’t always that way: The brand’s story began back in the late 1990s in Wiesbaden, Germany, where founder Holger Brodkorb set out to create better-quality streetwear. However, it wasn’t until 2013 that Ragwear, now based in Prague, fully eliminated all animal-derived products like wool, leather, and fur, as well as animal testing. The brand has even been certified for its vegan fashion by the animal rights organization PETA.
In 2015, Ragwear received PETA’s “Vegan Fashion Award” for a parka from their collection. That’s because jackets often contain hidden animal-based materials such as mother-of-pearl or horn buttons, dyes, threads, or down feathers – even in fairly affordable pieces. With Ragwear’s vegan jackets, you can shop guilt-free.
