Element is a brand that committed itself to the production of skateboards, skate- and surfwear. 1992 they started under the leadership of Johnny Schillereff, who described their intentions back then with the following words:” Our goal was simple, to be the best we could be in the most honest and ethical way possible.” With this aditude Element was able to compete against already existing skatebrands like Vans or Thrasher . And as this goal still remains, Element aren’t only making unique and high-quality products, they also fight for a better world. One approach to this is their Elemental Awareness program, which provides countries in Africa and elsewhere with shoes and skateboards and uses a part of Element’s shoe sales for e.g. building up skate parks.
