Before moving on to a new album, Trivium are first releasing an EP on October 31, 2025: Struck Dead has already been officially announced and has also received a single release with “Bury Me With My Screams.” However, fans have been waiting for new music since Trivium’s tenth LP In the Court of the Dragon. According to bassist Paolo Gregoletto, a follow-up is already in the works — but good work takes time:

“So obviously we have this EP coming up. [...] So we have this stuff coming up, the tour in the States and then, probably be back around next summer. We’re going to be working on new stuff, we already started working on new stuff. We have our space, the Hangar, back home. So, we’re kind of always writing. I think tentatively, maybe end of next year or 2027’s possible. Yeah, but we just want to really take our time and think about what we wanna do on the record.”

With Struck Dead, there’s still something new to enjoy so the wait won’t be too long. Perfect timing for the new songs:

“And I think part of why we turned this into an EP was, it felt like these songs felt good together. Give us a little time to take a breather and think about what we wanna do, while also giving people some new music to have and not just leave them hanging for another year.”
