Manga-Comic-Con 2025 showed just how fast four days can fly by. As always, thousands of manga, comic, and cosplay fans gathered at the fairgrounds to visit artist booths, attend signing sessions, and take part in the cosplay contest. All that - and more - makes up the celebrated MCC experience. This year, a total of 296,000 visitors attended the Leipzig Book Fair and Manga-Comic-Con, which is 13,000 more than in 2024!

The Winners of the German Cosplay Performance Championship!
A major highlight for all cosplay enthusiasts was, of course, the cosplay competition at MCC. Every year, cosplayers get to present their creations live on stage. But this year brought an extra treat: the very first Cosplay Performance Championship Germany! The best cosplayers from across the country competed with rehearsed character performances that captivated the audience. These three talented winners stood out:
- 1st Place: Jen as Aang from Avatar (@jellybe_gets_creative, Instagram)
- 2nd Place: Nekumii as Dragonborn from Skyrim (@nekumii_cosplay, Instagram)
- 3rd Place: Tedy as Anna of Arendelle from Frozen (@princess_unicorn_style, Instagram)
Cosplays weren’t just inspired by manga, films, and games - fans also brought members of bands like Sleep Token and Ghost to life! In our article “The Best Metal Cosplays of Band Members,” we’ve already showcased several of them, and they were spotted again at MCC 2025.

When Is Manga-Comic-Con 2026?
MCC 2025 may have just wrapped up, but we’re already looking forward to next year! The official dates for Manga-Comic-Con 2026 have already been announced. So go ahead and mark your calendar: March 19 - 22, 2026!
