Today, System Of A Down's world-famous sophomore album Toxicity officially turns 25 – at least in the US. In fact, the legendary record already celebrated its birthday in Germany back on August 27. But exactly a quarter of a century ago today, to make it sound a bit dramatic, Toxicity was first released in the US – on September 4, 2001. That brings on the nostalgia – so “Chop Suey!”, “Aerials”, and the title track definitely deserve another spin today.
Naturally, the band isn't letting this milestone pass by quietly either. Starting right now, a 25th Anniversary Edition is available for pre-order, set to release on November 20, 2026. But that's not all: in addition, System Of A Down are dropping the original bonus track “Johnny” as a standalone 7'' vinyl single! Alongside the song itself, Side B features a custom etching design – a true collector's item. Both releases are available together in a bundle – plus a poster on top.
