Slipknot seem to love giving their fans a bit of a puzzle. Once again, there's a new website, 742617000027.net, where a mysterious countdown is ticking… if you even make it that far, because first, you’ll need to enter the correct password.

Anyone who enters something incorrect in the field below is quickly shut down with the words: You have nothing to contribute so stay the fuck out

The Correct Password and Countdown

Naturally, fans on the internet have already cracked the code. The correct password is: comeplaydying

After entering it, you’re greeted with a warning, before you get access to the site:

"INTRUSION DETECTED

You are being observed. By continuing, you consent to:

    • Your actions being tracked
    • Your data being harvested
    • And your identity being marked for future contact

You also agree to immediate ownership and full responsibility for the contents of the box-should it find you."

Then you get to see a band photo from Slipknot’s early days, featuring former members Joey Jordison and Chris Fehn, all dressed in their iconic red jumpsuits. The URL also references this era, using the title of the intro track and the release year of their debut album: 742617000027.net/1-9-9-9/

You’ll also see a countdown that runs for most of the month, ending on July 21. What exactly we’re counting down to remains a mystery — but all signs point to a throwback or tribute to the Slipknot era of the late ’90s...
