The second album of what we now know is a trilogy. Back in 2018, Ice Nine Kills laid the foundation with The Silver Scream, and recently frontman Spencer Charnas announced their upcoming studio album The Silver Scream 3 at Silver Scream Con – while The Silver Scream 2 was released exactly 5 years ago today. Happy birthday!
Even More Horror Movie Inspo?
As has become tradition across the first records of the Silver Scream series, we can likely expect part 3 to deliver a tracklist packed with horror movie inspiration as well. Horror classics like Psycho, Child's Play (Chucky), and Pet Sematary have long been referenced throughout their albums via film scores, lyrics, and song titles. We'll just have to wait and see which titles the band takes on – or has already tackled – for their next full-length record, with the release slated for 2027.
The guest features on the last record also suggest we're in for a collaboration or two on The Silver Scream 3. Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix did the honors on “Hip To Be Scared”, “Take Your Pick” was brought to life alongside Corpsegrinder, and additional features included Buddy Nielsen (Senses Fail) on “F.L.Y.” as well as Brandon Saller (Atreyu) and Ryan Kirby (Fit For A King) on “The Box”.
