Currents: All the Details on the New Album

Our Fates Lie In Tandem will be released via Rise Records, the band's new label, which they have now officially signed to. The record features eleven tracks, listed below:

  1. A Wound That Never Heals

  2. On Your Own

  3. Retributioner

  4. Lost

  5. Eyes For Eyes

  6. Broken Frame

  7. Reset The Sun

  8. Zero

  9. A Way Out

  10. Absence

  11. Looking At You

As a first taste of the upcoming release, we've also been treated to the track “Retributioner.” There's a fitting music video to go along with it:

Commenting on the meaning behind the new album, Currents frontman Brian Wille says: “There's some social commentary and a little bit of heartbreak, too. I tore down the wall so I could be more personal than ever before. Our Fates Lie in Tandem isn't heavy just for the sake of being heavy, either. We agreed that a song doesn't have to be a ‘walking breakdown’ to make an impact. So you get the lows, the highs, and everything in between. Every element has a reason, and every word has a meaning.”

The announcement of the new album coincides with Currents' upcoming European tour. The band will be hitting the road across Europe starting next week, joined by Erra, with Caskets and Aviana as support acts. You can find all the tour dates here.
