Ever since the first teaser photo from the studio surfaced, fans of Bilmuri, A Day To Remember, Bad Omens, and Wage War have been collectively waiting for the new song “Always Let You Down,” which has finally been released today. As already hinted at in their initial group photo, Bilmuri’s Johnny Franck, A Day To Remember singer Jeremy McKinnon, Bad Omens vocalist Noah Sebastian, and Wage War’s Cody Quistad all worked on the track together, with additional input from producer Will Carlson.

A new Instagram Reel now also reveals the story behind this incredible collaboration:

"Will and I were in Nashville writing for the record and we were scheduled to write with Sasha Sloan and Cody Quistad which was an amazing combo, My manager Jameson and I like to go to the gym, get a little pumped beforehand. I'm looking across the vast sea of weights and I see Jeremy from A Day To Remember. I've never met him before. But I think we kind of both lock eyes and I get up from doing a set and he's walking towards me and I'm just pumped cause I'm happy to meet him - I've never met him though we've known about each other for such a long time. We chat and get to know each other and ask about tour plans and all that stuff, and then he leans into me and he's like 'If you ever need any help writing, let me know.' [...] I was like, 'Dude, we're writing in thirty minutes, if you'd like to come by,' and he's like 'I'm in.' [...]

We write a song called 'Back Then' which was a banger and it's on the record and I love that song. And then Noah hits me up - he's in town. I said 'Dude, come to the studio,'. [...] It's like twenty years of metalcore sitting in a room. So I kind of look around at all the boys and I'm like 'Are we cooking another song?' [...] And everyone was like 'Yeah, I'm fucking down.'

It's one of my favorite songs of the record. [...] And if I never went to the gym that day, this song never would have happened."
