"The Starchild", "The Demon", "The Spaceman" and "The Catman": Those names sound like characters out of a new super hero movie. Saying that, you wouldn't be wrong! The four men are better known as Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer - With their band kiss they are hailed as rock super heroes forever and always.

Whilst the idea of bands wearing makeup isn't something out of the ordinary these days, with acts like Twenty One Pilots or Motionless in White, when Kiss first entered the stage with their black-white-silver make up masks in 1973, it was a shock for many. Still today, Kiss shirts with the face of Gene Simmons are a real merch classic. But the commercial success of the band didn't come before their fourth record DESTROYER (1976). With that release they ranked in the US-Top 20 and made their breakthrough in the UK and Germany. From that moment on, Kiss were unstoppable: With over 100 Million sold records worldwide, having been inducted in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, Marvel-Band-Comics, their own coffeehouse there's really no stopping this band! In 2012 the 20th (no seriously) studio album by Kiss was released - So it's safe to say there's no end in sight!
