Last night, the Game Awards 2025 were held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, once again featuring plenty of special guests, live performances, and brand-new trailers offering looks at upcoming games. You’ll find the complete list of winners below, including Game of the Year. But first, here are some of the evening’s biggest highlights!
Trailer Highlights and Emotional Live Moments
Every year, the Game Awards bring a wide range of announcements and fresh trailers from studios around the world. This year was once again packed with sequels and new titles. Among them was the reveal of Larian’s next game: “Divinity”, their first release after the massive success of "Baldur’s Gate 3", marking a return to their roots in the "Divinity" series.
Strong casting also promises great things for the upcoming RPG “Solasta II” from Tactical Adventures. The trailer already showcases names like Devora Wilde (Baldur’s Gate 3, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33), Ben Starr (Final Fantasy, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33), Ellen Thomas (Arcane), and Amelia Tyler (Baldur’s Gate 3, Hades 2). The game is set to release in March 2026:
Trailers were also shown for “Resident Evil: Requiem”, “Star Wars: Fate”, and many other major franchises.
The first live performance of the night came from the Game Awards Orchestra, delivering an epic medley of music from this year’s nominated games, including "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33" and "Hollow Knight: Silksong".
Later in the evening, as previously announced, Evanescence took the stage with their song “Afterlife” from the animated series "Devil May Cry":
All Winners of the Game Awards 2025 at a Glance
Admittedly, we weren’t surprised: after sweeping multiple awards at the Golden Joystick Awards, the indie hit has now also taken home Game of the Year at the Game Awards — of course, we’re talking about “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33”! Naturally, the title also picked up several other category wins. In total, it earned eight awards, plus an additional win for Jennifer English, who received the award for Best Performance.
Other winners included “Battlefield 6”, “Doom: The Dark Ages”, “South of Midnight”, “No Man’s Sky”, “Baldur’s Gate 3”, “The Last of Us Season 2” for Best Adaptation, and many more!
