The New York Times has published its Top 48 Songs of the Year in the “Best Songs of 2025” list, and right at No. 1 are Sleep Token with the second single from their current album Even In Arcadia, “Caramel.”

The rest of the list is made up of numerous pop and hip-hop tracks. In the article, author Jon Caramanica writes about choosing the number one song:

"A huge, gloriously silly and brutally effective amalgam of abandoned styles ripe for reinvigorating — rap-metal, dream-prog, pop-reggaeton, backpack hip-hop, cosplay rock, metalcore and more."

The track marks yet another major hit for the band, who were already on everyone’s radar thanks to their previous album Take Me Back To Eden, and it went on to celebrate global chart success.
