This week, Motionless In White finally let the cat out of the bag and announced their new album Decades, set for release on July 17, 2026, alongside their brand-new single “Playing God” featuring Corey Taylor of Slipknot. The upcoming record marks the seventh full-length album from the band led by frontman Chris “Motionless” Cerulli and follows 2022’s Scoring The End Of The World.
To celebrate the upcoming release, we took another deep dive into the US band’s discography. These are our highlight tracks from all seven albums!
City Lights (Creatures, 2010)
Motionless In White made their studio album debut in 2010 with Creatures. The title is a reference to the band’s fans, who refer to themselves—and are referred to by the band—as “Creatures.” One of the most well-known tracks on the album is “City Lights.” The meaning behind the song is particularly dark, as it deals with the death of Chris Motionless’ former partner. Nowadays, the singer himself has stated that he dislikes the song because of the mindset he was in while writing it. However, due to its popularity among fans, the band still performs it live to this day.
America (Infamous, 2012)
A song whose meaning feels more relevant today than ever before. When MIW released Infamous in 2012, they simply wanted to write a socially critical track that reflected the times—without knowing it would still resonate 14 years later. “America” tackles corruption, superficiality, and the decay of values. Enough said. The track remains a fan-favorite part of the band’s live sets and was also played during their European tour in winter 2026. The crowd singalongs were massive—and probably always will be.
Reincarnate (Reincarnate, 2014)
The title track from the 2014 album of the same name is arguably the biggest song on the record. The album was not only the final release through Fearless Records, but also the band’s highest-charting release in the US at the time. Lyrically, the song perfectly reflects its title. It revolves around self-discovery and metaphorical rebirth after a destructive phase. The accompanying music video further emphasizes the track’s meaning and atmosphere.
Eternally Yours (Graveyard Shift, 2017)
One song that absolutely had to make this list is “Eternally Yours.” The album closer from 2017’s Graveyard Shift—the band’s first release through Roadrunner Records—remains a massive fan favorite and is often used as a live set closer as well. The meaning behind the track probably speaks for itself. Honestly, it’s the perfect wedding dance song for metalheads. A little “Blegh” has never hurt a wedding ceremony, right?
Another Life (Disguise, 2019)
“This is a hit” is probably the first thing that comes to mind when talking about “Another Life.” The song appears on 2019’s Disguise and consistently creates one of the loudest singalong moments during Motionless In White shows. That’s likely also due to the emotional subject matter, as the track deals with heartbreak and everything that follows after a painful separation. Chris Motionless clings to the hope that two people may reunite in another life and finally get their happy ending. Honestly, who can’t relate to that?
Masterpiece (Scoring The End Of The World, 2022)
A true masterpiece from 2022’s Scoring The End Of The World is, fittingly, “Masterpiece.” The album produced countless bangers—as pretty much every MIW album does—but this track became especially beloved among fans. In the song, Chris Motionless asks for forgiveness for the pain he caused throughout his life. Scoring The End Of The World remains the band’s most commercially successful full-length release to date.
Afraid Of The Dark (Decades, 2026)
Okay, admittedly, we’ve only heard two songs from the upcoming album Decades so far—but honestly? Both are absolute bangers. “Afraid Of The Dark” was released earlier this year as a standalone single before the album announcement even happened and once again: this is a hit. Anyone who has gone through—or is currently going through—a period of self-discovery will probably find themselves reflected in this song. It’s about empowerment and overcoming fear and pain in order to eventually find peace with yourself and achieve your goals. A fantastic first glimpse into the new album!
