Dream or reality? Hänno - known on YouTube and Twitch as HandOfBlood - has been listening to metal since he was 12 years old. He has even appeared in music videos by Electric Callboy (“MC Thunder”) and In Extremo (“Wolkenschieber”). Now he is the boss of his own indie metal label and has several milestones in his sights...
Staying True, But Make It Diverse
In his new video, Hänno gets straight to the point after an initial skit:
“We are founding an indie metal label called Corrupted Blood Records.”
From now on, this label will primarily support small metal bands that have not yet been able to reach their full potential in the huge music market. At the same time, diversity should be celebrated – as Hänno says:
“And we want to do that in a way that is a little more progressive than what has been customary in the metal scene so far, and I'm going to go out on a limb here. We still want to be authentic and ”true," guys, but we also want to welcome everyone. As a metalhead myself, I notice that the scene is very male-dominated—it's a sausage party, for the most part. Of course, there are some great exceptions, but what if we tried a little harder to promote diversity? It doesn't have to be the main focus, but I think it would be nice if more people felt welcome. I think there's still a lot to be done in the scene, and we want to achieve that by creating safe spaces."
Ready To Go: First Band Already Signed
You can look forward to Corrupted Blood Records' first band announcement this Friday, plus their live performance as a surprise act the very next day at CoreFest in Stuttgart on November 22. Tickets are available at corefest.de!
The first three label bands are to be announced by summer 2026, so we can look forward to even more input in the coming months.

First Metal Event from Corrupted Blood Records
The label's first metal event has already been confirmed: there will be a Corrupted Blood Club Show in Berlin in fall 2026. The event will take place on September 4, 2026, at Huxleys Neue Welt, with a lineup of five bands. Hänno promises both bands from Corrupted Blood Records and external acts that we are likely to be familiar with...
