A few weeks ago, Beartooth announced their new album Pure Ecstasy, due out on August 28, 2026 — and you can already pre-order it now. Following the release of the title track and “Free,” the band led by Caleb Shomo has now shared a third taste of the upcoming record.
Beartooth drop new song "Bullshit"
The new song is called “Bullshit”, and you can check it out below:
A lyric video will follow shortly. Prior to the release, there were some issues involving the originally planned video, which Caleb Shomo addressed in a statement.
When uploading the original lyric video, the upload was flagged and blocked due to AI-generated content. According to Shomo, the artist commissioned to create the video had used AI without informing the band. Even more importantly, Beartooth had specifically requested that no AI be used in any of their visual content.
Shomo shared the following statement:
"Hello all you lovely people
We posted a teaser this morning for a new song that was flagged for Al.
The artist we commissioned for this project assured us adamantly throughout the process that no Al was used to create this lyric video.
Unfortunately after a lot of red flags and conversations this morning, we now know for a fact that was not the case.
We have no interest in using Al or artists lying about using Al to try to translate the blood sweat and tears that were put into this album in any way shape or form.
My brother luke who worked tirelessly on the album art will again work tirelessly tonight to whip up a lyric video we’re all proud of and stand behind because he’s really badass.
The song will be posted as scheduled.
We love you all and we love human creativity.
Thank you for understanding"
As previously announced, Pure Ecstasy will be released on August 28, 2026 and features the following eleven tracks:
