Founded in 2002 by vocalist Scott Vogel, Terror quickly developed into a major force in international hardcore. With One With The Underdogs (2004), the Los Angeles band made a strong statement and established their energetic, no-frills sound. Today, they are an essential part of the hardcore community.
Early in their career, the band secured support slots on tours with major acts such as Converge and Sick Of It All. This was followed by albums like Always The Hard Way (2006), The Damned, The Shamed (2008), and Keepers Of The Faith (2010), which produced some of Terror’s biggest songs. Keepers Of The Faith in particular is considered by many fans to be a milestone of the modern hardcore era.
Later releases such as Live By The Code (2013), The 25th Hour (2015), and Total Retaliation (2018) achieved the band’s biggest commercial successes. The pandemic-era album Pain Into Power (2022) proved that even after decades, the band has lost none of its intensity.
Lyrically, Terror’s music often revolves around perseverance, loyalty, and personal strength. These themes have always played a central role in hardcore and, through Scott Vogel’s shouted vocals, have become true singalong anthems.
