Volbeat and Guitarist Rob Caggiano Part Ways

The Danish rock band Volbeat has announced on their official website and social media that guitarist Rob Caggiano is leaving the band after ten years together. Here's what the band had to say!

Rob Caggiano joined the band in 2013 as the lead guitarist and is now departing after exactly ten years. The reasons for the separation were not disclosed in Volbeat's statement, but they wish their former bandmate all the best for the future. Caggiano was previously a member of the thrash metal band Anthrax before joining Volbeat. Initially, he was only meant to produce the album Outlaw Gentlemen and Shady Ladies, but he was soon asked to become a member of the band. Such perfect chemistry among colleagues is rare! While it is unclear if there will be more projects from the American musician, we certainly wish him all the best.

The departure does not seem to have come as a surprise to the band, as they already have a live guitarist lined up for upcoming shows. Flemming C. Lund, the current guitarist for the thrash metal band The Arcane Order, will be joining Volbeat on stage in 2023!
