As reported by Billboard, Slipknot are said to be in talks for a deal with HarbourView estimated at $120 million, which would include their entire existing music catalog. This would cover all albums released to date by the band, but not future releases. The band would therefore still be able to release new music themselves. It is currently unclear whether all band members are participating in this deal.

HarbourView is an investment firm specializing in media and entertainment assets. Through the deal with Slipknot, the company would acquire music rights that generate ongoing royalty income in the future, while Slipknot as a band, or the participating members, would receive a large one-time payment.
