Set for release later this summer is Mastodon's ninth studio album and their first release without founding member Brent Hinds. The guitarist tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident in the summer of 2025. Yet, even after this tragedy, the band decided to remain active and continue making music together. And so, the new long-player Marrow Deep will reach us on August 28, 2026—and is already available for pre-order now.
Vocalist Troy Sanders speaks about the immense motivation behind this new work:
“Bill, Brann, and myself are thrilled that we still have the opportunity to do this, and we've got other members who are just over the moon to be in the band with us. That's a magical feeling that makes us keep wanting to go to band practice. It’s reminiscent of the very beginning of our band, where all members are hungry, we're united, and excited to get to work. And we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to do this record.”
With “Snakes For Dinner,” Mastodon have already delivered the second single off the record, following the release of “Your Ghost Again” in early June. Listen to the new song here:
