Just days before their Rock am Ring performance, In Flames have announced that they’ve parted ways with longtime drummer Tanner Wayne. Wayne had been behind the kit for the Gothenburg melodic death metal titans since 2018.
According to the band, the decision was purely a creative one – there’s no bad blood. In Flames shared a respectful and heartfelt message about the split:
In Flames haven’t yet revealed who will be taking over drums at Rock am Ring – or whether the new drummer will be a permanent replacement. But with the Nürburgring festival just around the corner, we won’t have to wait long to find out.
