Ghost have taken to social media to tease their "new singer" Papa V Perpetua, officially ushering in the band's next era. Behind the character, of course, is none other than Tobias Forge, once again transforming into a new persona.
The reveal took place as part of the Black Sabbath Tribute Show on July 5th in Birmingham, where "V" will perform live as part of a supergroup featuring well-known musicians from the scene.
The announcement came in classic Ghost fashion—with a cryptic message on Instagram:
"We wish to inform you: V is coming… to Birmingham on July 5th."
What Papa V Perpetua will look like remains a mystery. However, with the tour kicking off in April, Ghost are expected to unveil the new persona soon—we can’t wait to see what Tobias Forge has planned this time!
New Album Incoming?
The big question: Will Papa V Perpetua also bring a new Ghost album?
Ghost have introduced a new album with every era—so the chances are high! The same was true for Papa Emeritus IV, who was introduced with Impera (2022) and took his final bow on October 7, 2023, at the last show of the album cycle.
However, there has been no official confirmation—yet.
