Architects

W 2004 roku bracia Dan i Tom Searle założyli zespół, który oryginalnie nazywał się "Couting The Days". Sam Carter, który był w tym czasie aktywnym perkusistą w kilku lokalnych zespołach, dołączył do grupy jako wokalista w 2007 roku. Wraz z ich drugą płytą RUIN (2007) (oraz pierwszą w której uczestniczył Sam), zespół wzbudził zainteresowanie większych wytwórni, a już w 2008 roku otrzymali szansę zaprezentowania się na Never Say Die! Tour, występując w roli supportu takiej kapeli jak Parkway Drive. Zaledwie rok później zespół wyruszył w trasę koncertową po Wielkiej Brytanii w roli głównej gwiazdy wieczoru.

Wraz z innymi wydawnictwami, takimi jak HOLLOW CROWN (2009) oraz LOST FOREVER // LOST TOGETHER (2014), zespół zdobył nowe grono fanów na całym świecie, co ostatecznie zaowocowało wieloma trasami koncertowymi po Ameryce Północnej, Australii oraz Europie. W jednym z utworów pt. "C.A.N.C.E.R", gitarzysta Tom Searle odniósł się do swojej choroby nowotworowej (o której zespół nie mówił publicznie, aż do jego śmierci). Po tym jak wydawało się, że choroba minęła, w 2013 rak niestety powrwócił.

21 sierpnia 2016 roku, trzy miesiące po wydaniu ich siódmej płyty studyjnej ALL OUR GODS HAVE ABANDONED US, jak i również po odwołaniu trasy koncertowej po Ameryce, perkusista Dan Searle podzielił się smutną wiadomością o śmierci brata na Facebooku. "Nie wiem, co stanie się z Architects", napisał, "Nie wydamy żadnej nowej muzyki, dopóki naprawdę nie uwierzymy, że jest to coś z czego Tom byłby dumny."

ARCHITECTS - HOLY HELL

Dwa lata później, Architects to osiągnęli: wraz z singlem 'Hereafter' ogłosili, że wkrótce pojawi się HOLY HELL, pierwsza płyta zespołu nagrana już bez założyciela, Toma. Na liście utworów HOLY HELL znajduje się utwór 'Doomsday', jeden z ostatnich utworów, nad którym pracował Tom, który został zakończony przez pozostałych członków zespołu, w tym przez nowego gitarzystę Josha Middletona. Dzięki tej płycie Architects stworzyli pomnik dla Toma, na który bez wątpienia zasługuje.
