Name Background

The name "Lonsdale" refers to the "5th Earl of Lonsdale," a British earl from 1857 to 1944. In the 1890s, he supported the modern boxing scene, including founding the "Lonsdale Belt," a prize that is still awarded today. Bernhard Hart, also British, drew inspiration from his name and deeds for the brand, which soon became so successful that even boxers like Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson wore it!
