We can already count the days until we’re all partying together at Rock am Ring once again. In just a week and a half, the three-day festival returns to the Nürburgring in Germany’s Vulkaneifel region. Heading there yourself but still need a bit of preparation? Don’t worry — we’ve put together all the essential information for you right here.

When and where does Rock am Ring 2026 take place?

This year’s festival runs from June 5 to June 7 at the Nürburgring in Nürburg, Germany. At the same time, Rock im Park takes place in Nuremberg, with the same bands performing on different days.

The camping areas and parking lots at Rock am Ring open on June 3 at 12 PM and 6 PM respectively. You can find an overview and all camping category information here.

Festival and camping tickets as well as upgrades

If you still don’t have a festival ticket, you’re unfortunately out of luck in the most literal sense — Rock am Ring 2026 is already completely sold out. However, camping tickets are still available if you plan to stay on-site, as well as parking passes. You can also still purchase Fast Lane and VIP upgrades.

Another great option are pre-bookable locker tickets and city shuttle passes. The shuttles operate from cities such as Cologne and Frankfurt am Main.

You can find an overview of all available tickets and upgrades here.

Arrival for campers and day visitors

If you’re camping on-site, you can comfortably arrive by car a few days in advance. If you’re commuting to the festival grounds every day, that’s no problem either, as dedicated parking areas are available. For all of these options, you’ll need to purchase tickets beforehand, as mentioned above.

From the motorway exit onward, the route to the festival is clearly signposted. Day parking areas require a Weekend Car Pass. Parking lots are open daily from 12 PM until 5 AM. Depending on your booking, camping and parking may be separated unless you specifically booked a camping option with vehicle access. Make sure to check the details carefully. An overview can be found here.

If you’re travelling by public transport, you can take a train to Cologne, Frankfurt or Koblenz and then use the official city shuttle buses to and from the festival.

You can find an overview of all arrival and departure options for the festival weekend here.

Entry, organisation and festival map

Keep in mind that your ticket alone does not automatically grant access to the festival grounds. You first need to exchange your ticket for a festival wristband at one of the designated check-in locations. An overview can be found here.

The organisers have also clearly listed which items are allowed and prohibited on-site. If this is your very first festival and you’re still feeling a bit lost (we’ve all been there!), we’ve also put together the ultimate guide for your festival experience. Definitely worth checking out — better to have something and not need it than the other way around.

General information regarding age restrictions, security checks and more can be found on this overview page. Information about accessibility is available here as well.

You can also view or download the festival maps for both the outfield and infield here, so you definitely won’t get lost.

Line-up and timetable

The line-up and timetable for Rock am Ring 2026 have already been confirmed. Expect bands such as Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Papa Roach, Bad Omens, Electric Callboy, Iron Maiden, Architects, Volbeat, Ice Nine Kills, Sabaton, The Offspring and many more.

Make sure to familiarise yourself with the schedule beforehand, because the walking distances can be long. Sometimes very long. You can find the timetables for all three festival days here.

Food, drinks and shopping options

Think you need to bring absolutely everything for camping? Not necessarily! The on-site Lidl Rock Store offers almost everything you could possibly need. Of course, you should still pack your everyday essentials — realising you forgot your toothbrush right before going to sleep might make the walk to the store feel a little less appealing. But for food and drinks at the campsite, the pop-up supermarket is incredibly convenient.

Inside the infield itself, you’ll also find endless food and beverage options. There are drinking water stations available too, and you should definitely make use of them. Everything is marked on the festival map.

Payment and cashless system

Like most major festivals nowadays, Rock am Ring uses a cashless payment system. Together with your festival wristband, you’ll receive a chip that you can top up via the app or at dedicated stations on-site. This chip can then be used to pay at all stands across the festival grounds. The Lidl Rock Store also accepts additional payment methods. Any remaining balance can be refunded after the festival. An overview of the cashless system can be found here.

The Impericon booth

Of course, we’ll be there as well! Visit our merch booth, as always in the Infield. You’ll find band merch from all your favourite artists there. We can’t wait to see you.

Festival app

By the way: everything we just told you can also be found inside the official festival app. There you can check the timetable, top up your balance and receive all important updates on-site via push notifications.

So what’s missing now? Obviously a good mood to crank the anticipation all the way up. And if you still need a festival outfit, we’ve also put together a few pieces for you right here.
