The first-ever live performance from the enigmatic band President is just around the corner: On Sunday at Download Festival 2025, the new act will hit the Dogtooth Stage at 4:25 PM. And now we can also hear their second track – before they head to Donington Park in the UK, they’ve released a brand-new single called “Fearless.” But that’s not all – in the accompanying music video, a mask comes off at the end, revealing a face. Face Reveal: Just a Misdirect?
At the beginning of the “Fearless” music video, we see a gloved hand grabbing the now-iconic mask – and then the track kicks off with heavy riffs, melodic vocals, and a chorus that’s got the potential to get stuck in your head. The band’s growing fanbase seems more than convinced by single #2. Then, at the very end, we see the formerly anonymous frontman take off the mask – and a face is revealed. A face that, so far, no one seems to recognize.
There have been countless theories about who’s behind the band President, and this unexpected face reveal hasn’t stopped the speculation. The most popular theory – that Charlie Simpson is the one behind the mic – remains strong. Many fans believe the “face reveal” is a clever misdirection by the band. After all, revealing their identity this early on would be a bold move. One YouTube comment summed it up with this theory:
"Thought: it’s a misdirect like when presidents have doubles so they don’t get assassinated"
