Parkway Drive: Band Appears to Be Working on New Music in the Studio

Parkway Drive have posted a picture from the studio and appear to be deep in work on new music. This could mean a successor to “Darker Still” is on the way…

With a new social media post, Parkway Drive have shared a photo straight from a recording studio. After mentioning back in 2025 that they would head back into the studio the following year, that time seems to have arrived now at the very latest. The photo shows singer Winston McCall, who is apparently in the process of tracking new vocals. Fittingly, the caption features a microphone emoji, but also the teaser “Precursor.” A potential song title?

Parkway Drive most recently released their latest studio album Darker Still in 2022, so a follow-up album could definitely be in production already. Last year already saw the single release of “Sacred,” though there haven't been any concrete announcements regarding a new album or follow-up singles yet. In connection with “Sacred,” Winston McCall stated in an interview:

“‘Sacred’ came about from us going, we want to do music and we want to put it out there in the fastest way possible, so you don’t have to wait 3 years and have all of this stuff wrapped in a whole big thing. And then we go, ‘Here it is, all of it at once’. We’re just like, ‘No, we’ve got a thing, we’re gonna record it, boom, there it is’. So, we’re still operating on that, doing, like, we have a bunch of things on the boil in terms of different songs and stuff."
