In just a few days, the new game expansion “World Of Warcraft: Midnight” will be released, and Malevolence have already laid down some impressive groundwork for the launch. Thanks to a challenge from the game developers at Blizzard Entertainment, they wrote a song to celebrate the expansion in only 12 hours, with the release scheduled for March 3rd.
The band uploaded a 15-minute video to YouTube showing the song’s creation process and writes:
"In the video we demonstrate how we build a song from the ground up including writing the lyrics, riffs, solo's and breakdowns.
Stick around to the end of the video to hear the fully mixed and mastered song in full!"

How did the Collaboration Come About?
How did it happen? Pure gaming passion, of course. Konan Hall from Malevolence is deeply invested in the game and even received a custom-made World Of Warcraft guitar through a collaboration between Blizzard Entertainment and Jackson Guitars. All parties were already well-acquainted, so a song from Malevolence was the natural next step. The guitar can be seen in the following interview:
