According to a brand-new report from Live Nation, rock and metal have never been more in demand – and the numbers speak for themselves: more streams, more ticket sales, and more fans grabbing arena seats to see their favorite bands live.

Artists like Bring Me The Horizon, Bad Omens, Ghost, Sleep Token, and Turnstile are now pulling crowds that rival mainstream pop acts.

The report states that 13% of all arena and stadium shows are now led by metal and rock artists. Plus, the number of heavy rock shows went up by 14% last year – a clear sign that heavy music is finding its place in the mainstream.

And the genre giants are still going strong: Korn, System Of A Down, Linkin Park, and Metallica continue to dominate both the streaming charts and the biggest stages worldwide.
Meanwhile, festivals like Welcome To Rockville, Aftershock, and Inkcarceration keep growing year after year.

A trend we’re all hoping will continue in the years to come.
