(5/5) Bring Me The Horizon: Sempiternal Album Review

Where do I begin? What a RIPPER of an album to say the least! When I first heard 'Shadow Moses' I'll admit, i was a tad skeptical, having enjoyed the band's previous albums and seeing them live and then hearing this totally new sound and new side to the band that hadn't surface before! I was worried that I wouldn't enjoy the album as much. However, after buying it? wow. Just wow. I loved the album from the get-go; the first track, 'Can you feel my heart?' opens the album on a fantastic high, with a brand new, even more fantastic Bring Me The Horizon sound that blends Oli's newly matured voice with fresh complex riffs and synth beats that would blow one's mind!. The rest of the album is a track by track, story by story affair that literally had me loving every moment. The new tracks with all of their modern synth sounds and beats added to classic and recognizable, yet at the same time obscenely fresh Bring Me riffs create really raw and powerful stories, with catchy lyrics that were literally rolling around my mind for hours afterwards!. My personal highlights on the album are the opening track; 'can you feel my heart' especially for it's amazing lines ''I'm scared to get close/And I hate being alone/I long for that feeling/to not feel at all/The higher I get/the lower i'll sink/I can't drown my demons they know how to swim''; another favorite of mine is the powerful 'Antivist' which i can really imagine would create the most wonderful pit and crowd participation at Bring me'supcoming ahows! and another personal favorite i can relent about here is 'The house of wolves' a raw riff one can agree is classic bring me and lyrics that can really speak out and make themselves clear. All in all an outstanding album 5/5 stars.

(5/5) Perfect!

I just recently listened to the album, and I have to say it's my favourite from the band. It always amazes me just how much heart and soul they put into their music. You really can feel the emotion of it. Can't wait to see them at warped tour this summer!
