This morning brought heartbreaking news. Daniel Williams, known to many as the founding drummer of The Devil Wears Prada, died yesterday in a plane crash in San Diego.

The aircraft, a Cessna 550, crashed in a residential neighborhood during the early morning hours. While still on the plane, Daniel had shared an Instagram story from the cockpit, joking, "Hey. Hey... you... look at me.... I'm the (co)pilot now."

His former bandmates have already paid tribute with an emotional statement, saying:

“no words. We owe you everything. Love you forever.”

The crash also claimed the lives of music agent Dave Shapiro from Sound Talent Group (STG), as well as two other employees of the company. The residential area was evacuated - according to police, ten houses were damaged. The cause of the accident is still unclear and remains under investigation.

Our thoughts are with Daniel Williams, his family and friends, as well as the loved ones of everyone affected.

As the founding and longtime drummer of The Devil Wears Prada, Daniel helped shape the scene - his music remains an inspiration to many.

RIP.
