Last Friday, June 19, Metallica played a concert as part of their M72 World Tour in Dublin, Ireland—during which guitarist Kirk Hammett took a tumble. The incident happened just as the band was about to kick off their classic track “Seek & Destroy.”
Hammett's foot slipped at the edge of the stage, causing him to lose his footing, but fortunately, he escaped without injury. The guitarist was immediately helped back onto the stage and kept playing as if nothing had happened. So, other than a new nickname for their Kill ’Em All track (“Slip & Destroy”...), the band came away completely unscathed.
