The dates for the 2026 edition of the massive Rio festival have long been set. In September, the organizers wrote on Instagram:
"You can already start dreaming about September 2026. On the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 11th, 12th, and 13th, we’ll meet at the Cidade do Rock."
Now, the first bands for what promises to be another legendary lineup have been announced. With Bring Me The Horizon and Avenged Sevenfold, two main acts are already confirmed. Both acts were revealed on social media yesterday:
"CAN YOU FEEL MY HEART? @bringmethehorizon will perform on September 5 at the Palco Mundo stage to make this day even more epic! 🔥"
And…
"Welcome to the family, A7X! 🦇 @avengedsevenfold will make history at the Cidade do Rock, and they said they have a few scores (and songs) to settle here! 👀 Who’s coming? 🔥"
We can expect many more waves of band announcements, but a strong foundation is already set.
