Straight from Rock am Ring and Rock im Park to their headlining concert in Leipzig: Bad Omens played a packed arena show on Monday, delivering just as much atmosphere as they did at the Nürburgring—minus the fresh air and the view of the open sky. Anyone who was there knows—it was hot! But you gladly put up with the giant sauna when it means seizing one of the few opportunities to experience Noah Sebastian and co. with their own headlining show this summer. Next up, the band will be performing at Nova Rock, Greenfield, and Download Festival 2026.
Ready to Go with Bilmuri
Bilmuri got things started as the opening act (although their minds seemed to still be in Munich at first, judging by one of their early callouts...). Despite a small delay in the schedule, they delivered a solid, packed set that all saxophone and crossover fans surely appreciated and celebrated. Naturally, the setlist also featured the song “ALWAYS LET YOU DOWN”, which was co-written with Noah Sebastian (among others).
The Atmospheric Metalcore Experience: Bad Omens
Bad Omens didn't shy away from the smoke machine during this show either, creating a similarly melancholic atmosphere in the dark as they did at the gloomy Nürburgring. The band structured their set around the concept of their current Tapes, introducing each act with a corresponding screen video. With “Specter”, “THE DRAIN”, and “THE DEATH OF PEACE OF MIND”, the mood instantly remained appropriately dark.
Nevertheless, people later moshed and opened up circle pits like crazy during the crowd-pleasing pit anthems “ARTIFICIAL SUICIDE” and, at the very latest, the encore “Dethrone”—even though parts of the audience seemed a bit sluggish when it came to jumping and interacting. This might be due to current Bad Omens concerts being heavily focused on a conceptual flair with light and laser shows and emotionally powerful musical performances, rather than pure action on stage.
On the plus side, Noah Sebastian delivered another stellar vocal performance—Bad Omens can definitely bring the songs from their records to the stage with the exact same skill. The setlist (complete below) consists almost exclusively of fan favorites from TDOPOM and CONCRETE JUNGLE [THE OST], interspersed with a few must-play tracks from previous albums.
