We're currently melting in what feels like an absurd amount of heat for June, and what do you do on a 34-degree day in Wiesbaden, Germany? You go to a concert, of course. On Tuesday evening, All Time Low rolled into town for a headlining show at Schlachthof as part of their European festival run.

The pop-punk icons from Maryland were already in Germany back in March. Apparently, they enjoyed it so much that they decided to come back just a few months later to hit some of Europe’s biggest festivals. Alongside appearances at Nova Rock, Vainstream, and Hellfest, the band also squeezed in a handful of headline dates. Their only German headlining show took place in Wiesbaden.

Kind Kaputt

The evening kicked off with support from Kind Kaputt. The German-language post-hardcore outfit has long since established itself within the scene, and plenty of fans had already made their way to the venue for the 8 PM start.

During their 30-minute set, the band delivered eight songs, including several tracks from their latest album Ins Blau, which was released in January. The crowd was thoroughly warmed up (pun intended), and the Schlachthof had already lost some of its well-air-conditioned atmosphere. The perfect foundation for a great night.

The night's main act didn't quite stick to the audience's expectations. While most people assumed the show would begin at 9 PM, the opening notes of “SUCKERPUNCH” blasted through the speakers at 8:45 PM sharp. Why wait? The venue was already nicely packed for a Tuesday night in the middle of festival season, so there was no reason to hold back.

Production-wise, All Time Low kept things relatively simple compared to their spring tour. A backdrop and the band themselves were more than enough to create a great atmosphere. Guitarist Jack Barakat is unfortunately sitting out this run due to elbow issues, but he received a warm shout-out during the performance of his favorite song, “Lost In Stereo.” Get well soon, Jack!

Admittedly, the dynamic between frontman Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat was missed. The two founding members have always had fantastic chemistry on stage. Alex tried to recreate some of that energy with the rest of the band, but the results were only partially successful. Thankfully, it didn't affect the quality of the performance in the slightest. All Time Low remain an outstanding live band.

The 19-song setlist featured several tracks from their 2025 album Everyone’s Talking! alongside fan favorites spanning more than two decades of band history. Over the years, All Time Low have done many things right. Collaborations with artists like Avril Lavigne, Demi Lovato, and I Prevail helped introduce them to audiences outside the pop-punk scene, while a viral TikTok trend brought their music to an even younger generation of listeners. The diverse crowd at Schlachthof reflected exactly that.

Of course, we'd be lying if we said the biggest hits didn't get the loudest reactions. Songs like “Weightless,” “Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don't),” “Remembering Sunday,” and, naturally, the band's signature anthem “Dear Maria, Count Me In” were sung back at full volume.

After nearly 90 minutes, the show came to an end. Alex Gaskarth thanked the crowd, and the audience was sent back into the still unbearably warm summer night to the sound of Whitney Houston playing over the PA.

Thanks for the great show — we're already looking forward to the next visit.
