Founded in 1980 in New Jersey, USA, Overkill significantly shaped the scene with albums like Feel the Fire (1985) and Taking Over (1987). With their unmistakable blend of speed, technique and raw energy, they have secured a solid place in the hearts of Metal fans. Over the years, the band has demonstrated their musical evolution and diversity with records like The Years of Decay (1989) and Ironbound (2010). Despite lineup changes, the driving force behind Overkill, frontman Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth and bassist D.D. Verni, remained constant, allowing them to further develop and refine their characteristic sound.
