Caliban announced this morning in a social media post that a song was released on their Spotify artist profile around midnight, which did not originate from them!
What happened?
A fraudulent artist, posing as Caliban, apparently uploaded an AI-generated song through a questionable distributor, which is currently available on Spotify.
In their post, Caliban emphasized that they had nothing to do with this release and that their team is already working on resolving the issue.
The band also took the opportunity to thank all their fans for their support.
"We want to thank you all for your continued support," the band said, "by listening to real, handcrafted music written by actual people."
