About The Band's History

The sound of Motionless in White has evolved steadily since their debut album Creatures in 2010. However, Chris Motionless' distinctive voice has always remained a trademark for the band. Not only in the past were the musicians recognizable by their striking makeup - black paint and impressive outfits are still a part of them. Especially with their album Reincarnate in 2014, they were able to showcase their musical development and even enter the US Billboard Charts at number 9. Today, they can already look back on numerous collaborations, including Jonathan Davis from Korn, Dani Filth from Cradle of Filth, and Maria Brink from In This Moment. For a long time, like many other bands in the American core scene, the group was signed to Fearless Records. Graveyard Shift was the first album they released under Roadrunner Records.

What Motionless In White Stands For

As a singer, Chris Motionless writes most of the lyrics for the band. Many of them deal with personal topics from his life, but other lyrics are about fictional characters (Edward Scissorhands) or mythologies (Sleepy Hollow). Above all, the band also expresses their opinions through their songs. For example, the song "Voices" is inspired by the LGBTQ Community and is dedicated to them at every live performance. The band has also launched a Pride merch collection, with proceeds donated to an LGBTQ organization. With their music, they also frequently send the message that everyone should stay true to themselves and not be swayed by the opinions of others. This inspires many young fans in particular.
