In 2005, vocalist Scott Lewis and drummer Shawn Cameron founded Carnifex. Although the friends are from California, their sound has been anything but cheerful and sunny from the start: Deathcore at a high technical level, inspired by bands like The Black Dahlia Murder and In Flames. As regular guests of the Never Say Die! Tour, the Americans have made a name for themselves in the scene and remain one of the most well-known bands in their genre to this day.
